Cleaning up BCM from registry, folders, and the GAC

Sometimes bad things happen (e.g. PC crashes in the middle of an uninstall) and you end up with bits of an application left on your machine, and have to remove them manually.

After uninstalling BCM you can manually remove it from the Registry,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Business Solutions eCRM
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Business Solutions eCRM

You can remove any files left behind under Program Files.
In folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Small Business,
the folder Business Contact Manager will contain BCM files.
You can remove it.
Other folder may contain SBA or POS files. If you don't have those programs installed, you can delete C:\Program Files\Microsoft Small Business.

And you can remove BCM assemblies from the Global Assembly Cache (GAC).
Go to c:\windows\assembly.
All BCM assemblies will have Public Key Token b03f5f7f11d50a3a. Other Microsoft small business applications (like SBA) will the same token. If you don't have any installed, you can remove all assemblies with that token. If not you can inspect them individually and remove the BCM assemblies.

If BCM on your machine is a mess (e.g. you installed several beta versions; had assorted failures), it is worth cleaning the items above before doing a fresh installation.
